Vortragender: Prof. James Pearce-Higgins (British Trust for Ornithology)

The combination of citizen science volunteer birdwatchers and professional scientists underpins much of the long-term monitoring that is foundational to bird conservation in the UK. This is supported by more specific research projects to understand of specific issues. It is this combination of monitoring and research that enables the BTO to have scientific and policy impact, as illustrated by a range of species-specific examples in this talk.
