Vortragende: Sarah J. Bourlat (Centre for Biodiversity Monitoring and Conservation Research)
In this talk Sarah Bourlat will guide you through the concept of DNA-based methods and explain different
substrate types such as arthropod collection samples and environmental DNA and explain their growing importance for monitoring. She will explain the limitations of DNA-based methods, such as abundance estimation, and highlight the opportunities they offer, e.g. in terms of high throughput, speed, standardization possibilities and non-invasive approaches to monitoring.
